The role of the Family Life Minister is minister to the whole family of Tamarack Road Church of Christ with special consideration for young children, young adults, and young parents. Our goal as the Body of Christ is to touch the hearts and souls of every person that resides in the Bivens community. Our search is for a minister to assist us in accomplishing our goal. Husband of a wife who is supportive, involved and contributes to the edification and growth of the church. Specifically, we are looking for a married man with a young family. A substantial part of the compensation package that we have to offer includes a 3-bedroom single-family residence which is provided free of charge to our preacher and his family.
Plan yearly youth emphasis events (i.e. youth week, youth retreats, youth rally) to involve youth in areas of church leadership. Develop, promote, and coordinate a balanced program of activities and discipleship ministry to youth while developing relationships with all involved. The salary range will be $26,000 to $50,000 based on experience and education. Church owned housing, one block from church campus, is included if needed.
The house is a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with car-port and a storage building. Boxwood Church of Christ is a small church of about 25 members. We are located in the rural community of Bivens,Louisiana.
Although small, it has direct access to swimming holes, kayaking, and fishing. The great school district offers an excellent education with a small town feel. Christoval is also 15 minutes away from San Angelo, a city of over 100k people offering work and recreation for the outlying communities like Christoval.
Rev. Mostad served Akron Montrose-Zion, Bedford, Amherst Park Avenue, Covenant, Grafton and Perry United Methodist churches before retiring from the East Ohio Conference in 2010. Rev. Benson is survived by wife Donna, son Ronald Benson Jr., son Paul Benson, daughter Kathryn Benson, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Burge was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Donald Burge. She is survived by son Gregory Waselkov, son Gary Waselkov, stepdaughter Vicki Ferrero, stepson William Burge, stepson Russell Burge, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Rev. McLachlan is survived by wife Sandra, son Daniel McLachlan, daughter Karen McLachlan, and two grandchildren.

We are a small, sound congregation and have been for over 50 years. Our elders, Brother Tim Green and Brother Bill Schooley, have asked that I post this position here. We have a nice, 4 bedroom parsonage (if this is not needed, and you'd rather purchase/rent a house, we can discuss as things progress). Terre Haute is a wonderful city of 60,000 located 75 miles west of Indianapolis along the Wabash River.

Visitation will be included in the responsibilities and regular set office hours. Zanesville is a small town of 26,000 located in Southeast Ohio in Muskingum County. We have great outdoor activities and many area events for our residents. Duties of the minister would be preaching one sermon on Sunday mornings and teaching adult bible classes on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. Day-to-day direction and guidance will be provided by the elders.
